It's been almost 10 years to the day when I first started filming conferences. In that time I helped film over 300 of them, being personally present for more than 250. I've experienced the many, many ways in which a conference goes sideways. And usually, the attendees won't notice a thing other than the organiser not being seen - they're backstage trying to manage the crisis. In this talk I will discuss a number of the situations that us volunteers had to deal with as discreetly as possible to ensure you experienced the best event we could manage.
