Education in the field of network security is very dull and time consuming. NetS-X helps addressing these issues. Description: NetS-X is an educational hacking game from students for students. It makes use of real computer systems, therefor "shooting with real guns" (instead of using pure state machine teaching systems). NetS-X is an educational network security learning environment. It teaches knowledge via practical hands on exams in a secured network topology. The topology is using as much as 16 computer and a bunch of routers to simulate a medium size network. To reduce the amount of needed hardware, NetS-X make use of virtualisation technology. The benefit of NetS-X is rapid education in the field of IT security by not just using simulation.
