AI is typically referred to as an entity that can be helpful, but with tremendous dangers. AI is, however, a set of mathematical algorithms that appear to function like human intelligence. This presentation covers the mathematical roots of AI to dispel FUD and provide actionable guidance to address the threat of AI by describing the types of AI and their foundational components.
