"Stealers" are a notorious strain of malware with an insatiable propensity for harvesting passwords, cookies, authentication tokens, and more. Unfortunately, a recent surge of such threats targeting macOS has heightened the risk to many users' most sensitive data. To counter these insidious threats, our talk will first delve into their infection vectors, internal workings, and the data they are after. Armed with this foundational understanding, we can then shift our focus toward developing heuristic-based capabilities to generically thwart even the most sophisticated of stealers.
