In this training, trainees deal with BGP hijacking, which involves redirecting internet traffic by manipulating the Border Gateway Protocol. It covers the impact, training details, data sources, and notable BGP hijacking incidents. These incidents include the involvement of the Italian Hacking Team, Amazon DNS, China Telecom, and a recent incident at KlaySwap in South Korea. This hands-on training session will use fully open-source-based intelligence and command-line analysis tools to identify and visualize BGP hijacking incidents in any network. After this training, trainees will be equipped with new skills to detect BGP hijacking when suspicious phenomena occur.
