Visibility is about enumeration and correlation. Awareness is about context and responsiveness. In this examination of APT activity involving Truebot Malware by Nation-State Actors, Chris will reveal network attack footprints that elude many traditional monitoring tools. This discussion matches the technical analysis of exploit activity with mindset management of incident responders to incorporate more action-oriented sec-ops. Sharing some industry attack trend analysis, this talk also aims to incorporate understanding of motivations and behaviors of current attacks to build Cyber Situational Awareness and best position defensive resources.
