The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification is the US Department of Defense nascent methodology to assess DoD contractors' implementation of cybersecurity requirements, with the goal of improving the security of the Defense Industrial Base sector. For the first time, DoD contractors will be contractually required to satisfy certain cybersecurity practices. CMMC will likely influence cybersecurity practices across the rest of the US Government, and in the private sector. Panelists will discuss the current state of CMMC, explore what is cybersecurity maturity and how do we assess it, and discuss implications beyond the DoD.
