Presented at NDCSecurity 2020 by

The Cloud is a new frontier for many. Promises that your project will be cheap, quick and global. How nice. But how? Some have been in the Cloud for a long time already. It is to them, to their eventually successful projects and to their stories we turn in order to figure out how to get to the Cloud ourselves. We need to learn from failures to avoid lack of security, delays and costs run wild. It is entirely possible to go to the Cloud without gaining much momentum at all, for those stuck in old more grounded ways of infrastructure. Pun intended. Experienced navigators and successful projects can be tales of continuously delivered, automated, optimized, global success. We want to avoid an Íkaros scenario and soar in the skies. But how does one aim to get there? In this session we will relate Cloud Software Architectural Patterns to real life stories of success and some not so worthy attempts.
