Growth in Ransomware attacks are targeting both small and large organizations alike. The number of ransomware attacks has increased over 700% annually. The current approach of the attacker involves the ability of going after the backup of the data. There is a strong need to protect against the backup becoming the target. By preventing the ransomware attack, the organization can avoid paying the ransom, maintain the continuity of their systems and escape the negative news reporting. a unique way to secure an organizations system is by freezing the data, which keeps the attacker from being able to carry out the mission and encrypt the data, thereby thwarting the attack completely. The data can only be altered by the authenticated user. This method offers peace and comprehensive protection for the organization. Objectives: 1. Audience will learn that backups are not secure. 2. They will learn that by using multi factor authentication, the user will gain additional level into the ability to have secure authentication. 3. The users data will be protected from the hackers changing and encrypting the data.
