Social engineering is consistently the single most reliable cybersecurity attack vector. So how can we stop the bad guys from deceiving us through social engineering? Understanding the root cause of deception is an important factor in ultimately figuring out how we can defend ourselves and our organizations. The OODA loop encourages people to take deliberate steps to observe, orient, decide and act. Attackers will do anything to bypass the OODA loop way of thinking and acting by trying to cause a knee-jerk reaction. During this session, attendees will learn how to defend against the bad guys and some of the tricks and tactics they deploy in a social engineering scenario.
