The majority of common cyber attacks would be prevented by adherence to the 5 controls of the Cyber Essentials Scheme. And yet, despite the best efforts of Government, adoption of the scheme remains stubbornly low. The primary reason for this is that businesses don't see the value in the scheme: certification at the basic level doesn't deliver anything tangible, whereas certification at the higher level is expensive, time-consuming and difficult. The answer to the twin problems of adoption and value lies with automation.
