Responsible use of Artifical Intelligence to Enhance SocietyGarry Kasparov has been engaged with human-machine interaction since his chess matches against IBM Deep Blue in the 1990s, and now focuses much of his energy on human rights and values. At Infosecurity Mexico, Garry and Rajarshi Gupta, Head of AI at Avast, will talk about the benefits and challenges of artificial intelligence in industry and home applications. AI creates massive progress and convenience, but is also being abused by corporations and states for data collection, and by cybercriminals for financial gain. Kasparov and Gupta will debate the ethical challenges of such powerful tools against human values, and the steps that society can take to counter the threats. While the advent of AI creates new challenges, the combination of human values and intuition, paired with data-driven machines, opens up new horizons. Leveraging smart machines that are powered by data, we could responsibly use technology to address societal needs, while embracing privacy and security as core guiding principles. The speakers will discuss the challenges arising from the proliferation of smart technologies and AI, and how positive use of the technology can be a vital tool to protect the values of human society.
