This is an introductory session to open-source intelligence (OSINT) for investigators and law enforcement. The purpose is to present unique ways in which criminals might use OSINT to commit crimes and target law enforcement officers in the 21st century. Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring a device with internet access (a cellphone will suffice) and this class will require significant audience participation. The goal of the session is for the attendees to walk away with a shift in mindset and to Think Outside the Box when conducting future investigations. The session will also benefit investigators develop a workflow for conducting OSINT investigations.
