Legislatures are increasingly trying to grapple with data security, and we’re even seeing tech companies advocate for regulation of AI and facial recognition technologies. Plus there’s the fact that FERPA is a law that was written in 1974 and barely mentions data security. It seems like the law is always playing catchup with technology. In this session, we plan to discuss the current relationship between the law and technology before looking to the future.
