While Android is a mostly free operating system, many devices contain non-free drivers as well as apps and/or spyware from the device manufacturer that normaly cannot be removed. This workshop will go through the process of unlocking and installing a free or at least more freedom respecting ROM on your device.The factory default installtion of most modern mobile deivces, be it mobile phones or tablets, contain lot's of features and/or software peole might not like. Depending on the exact device, the process can be from simple through a little scary to (nearly) impossible. The workshop will go through the process of re-flashing your device with the participiants on the devices they bring.
