A new, multi-partner effort is underway to develop a cyber security body of knowledge (http://www.cybok.org). There are a number of previous and current efforts on establishing skills frameworks, key topic areas, and curricular guidelines for cybersecurity. However, a consensus has not been reached on what the diverse community of researchers, educators, and practitioners sees as established foundational knowledge in cybersecurity. The project seeks to address key questions like: What is in and out of scope of such a CyBOK? What essential knowledge in computer science and other disciplines should be pre-requisite for a CyBOK? This session will discuss the 19 Knowledge Areas that have been identified by the team to formulate the scope of CyBOK. Come and have your say: Do you agree? What is missing?
