Have you ever been put into a position to interview a co-worker, but struggle with what questions to ask? Some bizarre questions during technical interviews, many of which are asked without considering what value they bring. We will explore several strategies for having a better interview for all involved. Designing a better interview to find match the candidates to the right roles is a huge issue today. We will work through interview design, and questions from both candidates and interviewers to help find a better fit. Interviews tend to have questions that verify knowledge that is easily found with an internet search. Human resources wants us as interviewers to fairly compare candidates, but our assessments tend to be very subjective. We will cover some ways to numerically rate candidates to help make the process easier and cleaner.
