During months of investigation, Check Point Mobile Threat Prevention research team uncovered the story of a Chinese mobile malware campaign that infected millions of users around the world. By using cutting edge behavioral malware analysis, our researches were able detect what seemed at first as an isolated case of trojanized adware and soon unfolded as a well-organized international campaign to infect a staggering amount of Android users with a versatile, evasive and persistent malware. We will introduce for the first time in depth view of this mobile malware campaign and how we researched it, including new data regarding its evolution.
