The Defense Innovation Unit Experimental (DIUx) serves as a bridge between DoD customers (the Services and Components) executing on some of our nation's toughest security challenges and those companies operating at the cutting edge of technology. DIUX will share their mission, the mechanisms they have put into place that will help their efforts, and some of the challenges they hope security and privacy industry and researchers can help them solve. Before joining DIUx, Vishaal was the technical co-founder and director of software engineering for Morta Security, prior to the firm's acquisition by Palo Alto Networks. A graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Vishaal served as a Cyberspace Operations Officer for the U.S. Air Force and National Security Agency. He served numerous combat deployments and stations overseas, a is an Iraq War veteran and earned the Bronze Star Medal. Vishaal also holds a Master's degree in information technology from Virginia Tech University.
