CISOs are all too familiar with their reputations in the workplace: “roadblocks,” “hurdles, not helpers” and “the no police.” Although high-profile breaches have begun to change the conversation, there is still much to be done for security to be truly embraced within the enterprise. Seeking to change this status quo within his organization, Eric Hlutke put together a plan. Based on a three-year road map, Hlutke's plan required garnering support from stakeholders across the business (and the globe), seamlessly integrating countless technologies and a good amount of professional risk. Amazingly, Hlutke completed the project in just eight months. Hlutke shares his philosophy of building around innovation and the agility of plug-and-play technologies to allow AB InBev’s security organization to be responsive to the organization’s needs now and into the future.
