I believe we are on the cusp of a significant change in how infosec needs to adapt to detect and respond to security threats. Not only is this a shift in technology but a change in the skill sets that will be required. Information security has always been full of buzz words today we hear things like threat intelligence, threat hunting and data analytics. It is easy to get caught up in vendor marketing but the true ideas behind these terms are not only necessary now but will be as common place in the future as things like IPS, Firewalls and SIEM are today. This talk will provide an overview of how these ideas can be adapted by an organization today and where the future will take us.
