Talent is the lifeblood of every organization, and companies must use every available tool to acquire and retain talent. Through times of boom and bust, the IT internship program at Weyerhaeuser has remained a prominent component of developing young leaders and discovering talent. Chris Van Liew, a former Weyerhaeuser IT intern who rose to Weyerhaeuser’s CIO, will describe how in a competitive hiring market with talent scarcity, an IT intern program is a tremendous source of diverse, high-potential talent.
