As leaders of a field that may seem like gobbledygook to the rest of the business, it’s important that CISOs know how to clearly communicate risk to the organization. For Lynda Fleury at Unum Group, this meant building an operational dashboard of measurements and metrics. Using the dashboard to define the organization’s risk taxonomy, demonstrate external and internal causes, and measure current capabilities, Fleury created a structured global format to share cybersecurity information with the rest of the business.
