Information sharing between the private sector and the government is the lifeblood of effective cyberdefense and response. It has become a necessity for private organizations to share information amongst each other as well, but what are the implications of doing so? CISOs naturally gravitate toward open collaboration with the rest of the security community to stand in strengthened solidarity, but security leaders often run into complicated challenges of confidentiality issues and protecting their customers.
