A New Model for Incident Response

Presented at CISOcincinnati 2015 by

The traditional security model is collapsing. The lack of integrated defenses and deeper security visibility is creating exploitable vulnerabilities, which is placing amazing pressure on incident response capabilities. The ability to respond quickly and effectively is especially challenging when qualified talent is hard to find, harder to keep and very expensive to outsource. This session will discuss these challenges in the context of real-world events and will include considerations of risk identification and planning, resource allocation and prioritization, expectations from corporate leaders and government agencies, reporting obligations, and other challenges of responding to an incident. Executive boardrooms are intimate and interactive sessions designed to foster dynamic dialogue around a specific, strategic topic. These private, closed-door discussions encourage attendee participation and are limited to 15 attendees (seating priority is given to CISOs).
