CISOs often encounter a disconnect when communicating their priorities to senior executives and the board. They may struggle with exactly what information to present to the board, and vice versa, senior executives are not always confident about how to best engage with their CISO. Many times board members aren’t sure what they need to know in order to provide good oversight of the company’s security strategy. In this session, Doug Steelman, CISO at Dell SecureWorks, leads the discussion on how CISOs can communicate effectively with leaders in their organization, including their responsibilities and accountability in context of the entire business.
