The tobacco industry along with many other brand owners is facing ever increasing issues with illegal traders. Governments are also responding to this challenge and have created regulation aimed at further securing the supply chain. The DCTA will present its real world experiences in responding to these demands, in particular, the development of proven and effective technologies that enable tracking and tracking of product, and support easy product authentication by law enforcement and consumers. We will also highlight the critical importance of international standards and open technologies to ensure complex transnational supply chains are secure.
