Beyond Encryption

When an outside party owns, controls and manages their infrastructure and computational resources, how can CISOs be assured that sensitive data remains private and secure? How do they best protect data in mixed-use cloud and Big Data infrastructure sets? One word that has become synonymous with data protection is encryption. Encryption is often considered as a de facto information protection option during audits, vendor evaluation, cloud security evaluation and regulatory compliance reviews. Yet many data protection strategies fall apart when encryption is not the most suitable option. This discussion explores encryption and other data obfuscation options. Executive boardrooms are intimate and interactive sessions designed to foster dynamic dialogue around a specific, strategic topic. These private, closed-door discussions encourage attendee participation and are limited to 15 attendees (seating priority is given to CISOs).
