The last five years have seen a significant change in the technology and risk landscape across industry segments. Building a security and compliance function today is very different from building one five years ago. IT consumerization, changing business needs, and large-scale security breaches have changed the security landscape permanently. Security technology has also come a long way in addressing some of these challenges. Security awareness, management reporting and communications have become increasingly important.
