The convergence of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) has introduced new challenges in securing the infrastructure to support both environments. This session will cover how IT network security best practices can be applied to OT environments. The presentation will primarily be focused on understanding the challenges and differences between IT and OT, reviewing a security best practices methodology (Software-defined Protection), and current network security technologies used to prevent Cyber Security attacks. Objective: Understanding how in modern day security best practice on implementing security infrastructure can be applied to Operational Technology.
