The development of a robust Identity ecosystem has long been impeded by the Achilles Heel of the Internet overall—lack of a good set of standards to enable easily interoperable authentication. The FIDO Alliance, a relatively new open standards organization, has been working on exactly that framework. The Alliance is making excellent headway and this presentation will cover both the high level technical architecture of these new authentication protocols, as well as give an update on progress.
