Trusted Tokens: An Identity Game Changer

Presented at CloudIdentitySummit 2014 by

Effective use of technology to securely exchange information and consume services between different trusted partner organizations has always been a challenge. The continual balance of facilitating user access to information while securely protecting it from unauthorized use is becoming more complicated. Additionally, with the migration to cloud technologies and more distributed architectures, identities are being pushed increasingly further from critical applications and services. Current access control solutions and federated identity techniques do not always scale well, can be inflexible, and often fail to provide the required levels of assurance. The integration of standards-based secure token services addresses both business and technical requirements in a way that minimizes organizational coupling and dependencies while maximizing interoperability and security.//This session will describe real-world contextual use case scenarios and the associated token standards, specifications, and integration approach to implement interoperable trust chains and idnetity propagation within and across operating environments.
