Caterpillar has doubled its number of Federations--from 30 to 60--in one year, and is frequently asked for additional functionality. This year, it is implementing OAuth corporate-wide and x509 certificates as an additional authentication mechanism for employee-owned assets. It is also being asked to incorporate additional authentication schemas into existing technologies. Some of its challenges include serving mobile devices and ensuring that the right individuals have the right access. Questions answered will be around managing growth and new technologies.
