This session will highlight the convergence of IT security professionals and professionals in other disciplines of security in the effort to secure Western states from terrorist attacks and other cyber threats. Also discussed will be how IT Security specialists are arguably taking the lead in pushing the boundaries of intelligence collection and analysis, and how the intelligence community must now recalibrate the intelligence approach to leverage the benefits of an IT Security-led intelligence surge, while factoring in higher-level strategic and social considerations and reducing silos within collaborative security efforts.
