Security is no longer an issue of designing a secure infrastructure, but also of monitoring that infrastructure to detect threats which have evaded the controls. But enterprise and government networks are extremely complex, security tools are not keeping up with datacentre network speeds, and many security specialists in ANZ are simply unfamiliar with modern enterprise networking. This session aims to explain why network visibility is so critical, provide a grounding in modern datacentre networking technologies (fibre, 1G/10G/40G/100G Ethernet), and teach you how to design networks to support complete visibility of all traffic into security tools.
