Joe Dunne is the first CSO of the newly created security department within the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. He is responsible for developing, implementing, and auditing security programs across the Port Authority. Dunne, a 32-year veteran of the New York City Police Department, was appointed First Deputy Police Commissioner in 2000 and was directly involved in the 9/11 emergency efforts at the World Trade Center in 2001.
