In this increasingly connected world, organisations and individuals are under mounting pressure to protect their data. In this session Rocky Heckman and Jeff from Microsoft Australia will show some of the new security technologies from Microsoft that IT Pro’s and Developers care about the most. The focus of this session is to not kill you by PowerPoint but show some of this technology in action! There will be demo’s on Windows Server 2008 in the areas of Network Access Protection, BitLocker Drive Encryption and Active Directory Rights Management which covers security on the IT Pro side, as well as demo’s from the developer side. We’ll also look at how WCF provides an easy way to secure communications, what new legislative measures mean to you and look at some of the internal Microsoft tools we’ve made available to help you protect the personal data of your internet citizens to comply with those rules. We’ll also talk about the document security features in Open XML that you can use for cross platform compatibility.
