Presented at BSidesDC 2013 by

Ideas and techniques for improving security programs are frequent topics at security conferences and webinars. However, when enthusiastic attendees return to their places of work more often than not their enthusiasm turns to frustration as they face a host of roadblocks. This talk will identify categories of roadblocks, the motivations behind them and offer strategies to overcome the objections of this new breed of obstructionist. The talk will provide real-life examples and guidance and will NOT promote playing the FUD card. The audience will be encouraged to discuss their attempts and experiences in implementing security in their programs.
