Malware is an expensive multi-national epidemic affecting the masses from home users(Ransomware) to corporations(Aurora, Nightdragon campaigns) to nation states(Stunet, Flame). As security budgets shrink, one has to dawn multiple hats to do more with less - that may also include malware research and reverse engineering. The aim of this presentation is to offer someone who may never have thought about starting this particular discipline as a hobby or profession the push and direction to get started and have fun with it.
