DDoS is the new hot thing that has made its way through the media just as fast as a few other popular terms “Cloud” and “APT”. Well, that will be the first time and the last time you will see or hear those terms here. For DDoS coders, vendors, and skiddies their simple tools have caused much havoc for quite some time. The interesting part about these attacks is that they have gone without almost any innovation over many years. Our goals were to create an innovative DDoS Command and Control server and a modular attack framework that could be staged anywhere. Hence the name FAP (For All Platforms), our initial hypothesis was proven to be valid with jquery and some time at a coffee shop (we are not hipsters). What we ended up with is very different from this. We will be discussing our successes and our failures package with performance statistics and mitigation possibilities.
