"Security is somewhat like insurance... everyone needs it but no one wants it. Needs it because there are obvious threats. We hate it because it is an inconvenience, overhead, and surely resource consuming. More importantly there is no such thing as absolute security or an endpoint to reach. Therefore, it is a constant battle with no true winner. That means, like in every battle, there is a price to pay. The question is, do the governments truly understand this? Is populist politics allowing them to see this need? Is there anything that can be done or policies made or a system put in place so that importance in this field is elevated and at the same time resource consumption is minimized? Let's discuss!"
