Today’s corporate environment faces some serious issues while trying to integrate BYOD devices. The vast majority of employees have their own electronic devices and want to use them for both work and personal tasks. This has created serious issues for security engineers attempting to secure devices that can potentially be completely out of their control. This talk will cover the wireless access layer and the security associated with getting these devices attached to the network. The focus will be on a newly discovered vulnerability that exists in WPA2 enterprise networks. To our knowledge this exploit has not been released publically prior to this presentation and should be completely new. It will allow the capture of clear text passwords without the need to brute force your standard MSCHAPv2 challenge response. The presentation will conclude with a live demo of the attack followed by a github link to a new set of tools that will allow others to test the vulnerability.
