There is a trust gap in our modern day workplace. There is often hesitation in providing employees with increased access to technology and information which would enable greater productivity within organizations. There is also a lack of interconnectedness among employees that allows people to learn from each other and to create a workplace environment where anyone can thrive. The work we do as information security leaders is what enables these connections. Security is critical to human interaction and essential to fostering positive workplace relationships. The technology that we help create and grow can reinvent the workplace into one where everyone feels connected not only to each other, but to something greater a common purpose. Ultimately, the trust we place in our organizations, our employees and ourselves will have the biggest impact not only on our careers, but also our personal lives.
