This presentation will discuss new standards and new audit reporting for privacy at third party outsourcers in Canada and the United States that have been recently established by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. These new standards will facilitate consistent and understandable privacy audits and reporting that can be used for a variety of users and markets. The session will: Identify third party service providers privacy risks Identify issues created through cloud computing Discuss how utilizing independent privacy audits and/or assessments of service organizations is a good business practice Identify different types of reports available under the new assurance standard, and the impact from a privacy perspective Identify which reports are more useful for service organizations based on different criteria
