In this presentation the author of Xprobe will discuss new cool things that are being added to upcoming version of the tool, namely: adaptive probe execution algorithm that allows to probe networks and fingerprint systems with even less packets, new application level engine to extend tool with additional potential probes, probing the en-route nodes along with the target system, IPv6 and more. Some real-life incident case studies and lively demos are included. :) Fyodor Yarochkin is an early developer to snort, and founder of opensourceXprobe project. Fyodor has a MS degree in computer science from Kyrgyz Russian Slavic University and currently is pursuing his graduate studies at National Taiwan University. Fyodor's main interests are network security, offensive and defensive tactics and security of signaling networks.
