YOU ARE REQUIRED TO GET A TICKET AT SCRIPT-KITTY VILLAGE TO ATTEND THIS WORKSHOP (i.e. this session cannot be reserved with Sched) Tickets will be available Saturday at 9am. ----- Learn how to get started with Meshtastic and MeshCore, two popular encrypted long-range LoRa mesh networking platforms. This workshop covers the key differences between the two, how to configure nodes, customize settings like frequency and encryption, connect sensors or GPS, and deploy nodes for real-world use. We’ll also touch on security considerations, attacks against mesh networks, and how to get involved in your local mesh community. What to bring: A computer with Chrome-based browser, USB Type C cable, smartphone ----- No soldering is required for this workshop. The session is free to attend, but involves the use of hardware. Attendees can visit the ScriptKitty Village to buy compatible hardware and learn more. Seating is limited, with priority given to those with compatible hardware. You must have the proper "Village Session" ticket in order to attend.
